Frequently asked Questions

How do I register?

There are several ways you can register for the Walk.  You can register as an individual participant, you can join an existing team, or you can create a team either by clicking a link below or from the home page of this site.  You will be asked to provide a few pieces of required information in order to register.   Once you complete your registration, you will receive confirmation that you are registered.  Please keep this information to confirm your registration in the event you are asked.

 

Do I have to join a team if I just want to walk by myself?

It is not mandatory to join a team, you can be an individual walker. All individuals who want to walk on the day of the walk must register to walk preferably online or on the day-of but you must pay the  registration fee to receive your tee shirt and printed number. 

 

How do I join a team?

You register by going to the Join a Team tab on the walk site.  You must fill out all the required information. You will then be registered to walk.  You will receive confirmation that you are registered.  Please keep this information to confirm your registration in the event you are asked.

 

How many people are allowed on team?

Teams can be as small or as large as you want them to be. 

 

When do I receive my tee shirt and number?

 Both of these items are handed out the morning of the walk.  If you registered in advance, please have your receipt handy in the event we cannot locate your name on our list of registered walkers.  Also please fill out your tee shirt size when you register.  (Please note the size shirt you would like during registration. We place the order in advance based on these  selections and cannot guarantee availability of any alternate sizes on the day of the event).

  • If you register ON or BEFORE 8/20/17 you are guaranteed a T-shirt with your shirt size.
  • If you register AFTER 8/20/17 you are guaranteed a T-shirt, we cannot promise your size.

 

Volunteer Information

We expect all volunteers to arrive promptly at 6:30 am.
Saturday September 16, 2017 is a weekend so keep in mind that there are Transit hiccups so plan accordingly as to your travel needs to get to the park on time.
We will do our best to have everyone in the assignment of their choosing but it may change as the needs of the SCTPNWALK changes for the day.
Dress appropriate for the weather and comfortably for a various amount of tasks.
We welcome all volunteers that come day of so if you have Friends, Family, Coworkers, etc. it would be appreciated.Sending their name and email contact prior to the date would be convenient as well.
